Brand Styling for Web
A focused visual direction for your website – colour, typography, and a mini brand styling guide – so your website project begins from a clear, confident place.
This service is available as an add-on to our Arigato Squarespace Atelier and Arigato Shopify Atelier packages only.
Every website needs a visual language to speak from. If you're coming to your Atelier without an existing identity (or with one that doesn't quite translate to web) this add-on creates the foundation your site needs before a single page is built.
Working from a thoughtful questionnaire, we develop a cohesive web-ready brand styling direction: a considered typography system with a clear visual hierarchy and a curated colour palette for your website. It won’t be a full brand identity with a custom logo, but it will be everything a well-designed website genuinely needs to feel considered and complete. The result is a mini brand styling guide you'll actually want to keep – something to return to throughout your Atelier and long after it ends.
What’s Included:
Typography system & hierarchy: headline, body, and accent fonts’ selection for a site that has a consistent, considered visual voice across every heading, paragraph and call to action, with a clear structure that supports SEO. One of selected fonts will serve as a site title/typeset logo for your studio or brand name.
Refined colour palette for your website (1–2 primary colours, 1–2 neutrals, and 1 accent) with HEX codes ready for web, ensuring your colours are immediately usable and consistent across your site and any future design work.
A favicon designed to complement your typeset logo and colour palette, so your site feels complete and polished in browser tabs and bookmarks.
A mini Brand Styling Guide consolidating all elements, delivered as a PDF and a Canva board – ready to copy directly to your Canva Brand Kit and share with collaborators effortlessly.
A round of refinements to ensure everything feels right before your Atelier build begins.
What’s Not Included:
Brand strategy or brand guidelines document
Custom logo design
Icons or iconography
Social media templates or print collateral
Photography direction or sourcing
The Process:
Brand Styling for Web follows a calm, structured sequence designed to move with intention rather than urgency, and to fit naturally into the rhythm of your Atelier.
Throughout the process, all communication takes place within your dedicated client portal via written messages or voice notes and screen recordings. No calls, no chasing – just a clear, considered exchange at each step.
01 – Discovery
You'll begin with a thoughtful questionnaire covering your aesthetic references, values and audience. Alongside this, you'll have the option to share with us your Pinterest board with saved images that speak to you: colours, textures, atmospheres, objects. This is entirely optional; if you'd prefer to skip it, you'll just have to answer a few additional questions to make sure we have a full picture of your aesthetic direction before we begin. Both the completed questionnaire and any Pinterest contributions are due at least 1 week before your project start date, so we have time to review them and make sure we have everything we need to begin with intention.
02 – Brand Moodboard Presentation
Working from your questionnaire responses and any Pinterest contributions, we curate a considered selection of images into a moodboard – our own research woven together with your input. We present it along with a short screen recording walking you through the direction and our thinking. You confirm, and we move forward.
03 – Typography & Colours
Working from the confirmed direction, we develop your full visual system: a refined colour palette with HEX codes for web, a typography hierarchy, and a typeset logo.
04 – Brand Styling Guide Presentation
We consolidate everything into your mini Brand Styling Guide and share it via your dedicated client portal, together with a video presentation walking you through each element. You review, respond with written feedback, and we refine if necessary.
05 – Refinements & Handover
One round of refinements is included. Once everything feels right, we deliver your final PDF and Canva link, along with clear instructions for font licensing and setting up your Canva Brand Kit.

FAQs:
-
➔ Possibly! If your logo works in a horizontal format suitable for a website header, if you have your brand colours confirmed as HEX codes for screen, and if you have a clear hierarchy of web fonts with defined sizes – you may well be ready to go straight into your Atelier. If any of those pieces are missing or feel uncertain, Brand Styling for Web takes care of it before the build begins.
-
➔ Not quite – and honestly, that's a helpful thing to know before you start! Brand Styling for Web is a focused, web-specific service. It does not include custom logo design, brand strategy, or a full brand guidelines document. If you need those, we'd recommend working with a dedicated brand designer before your Atelier. What this offers is everything a well-crafted website genuinely needs: a colour palette for your website, a considered typography system, and a clear visual direction – delivered within the scope and rhythm of your Atelier.
-
The most important thing you can do is give your questionnaire the time and thought it deserves – your responses are the foundation everything else is built from, and the more considered they are, the more precisely we can capture your aesthetic direction. You'll also have the option to prepare a Pinterest board of images that speak to you – colours, textures, objects, atmospheres – and share it with us ahead of the project. If you have any existing assets to hand – a current logo file, brand colours, or fonts you're already using – please include those too. All of this is due at least 1 week before your project start date.
-
➔ Less than you might think! Most of your involvement happens before the project begins – completing the questionnaire and, if you choose, assembling a Pinterest board. Once the project is underway, your input comes in the form of feedback at two key moments: reviewing the Brand Moodboard and the Brand Styling Guide presentation. You'll receive a notification each time something is ready for your attention, both within your client portal and by email. If we don't hear back within the 24-hour window, we'll take that as a green light to move forward – so the timeline stays on track regardless. The process is designed to be light on your time while keeping you informed and in control at every step.
-
➔ Yes – and we'll walk through this together so nothing feels like a surprise! As part of Brand Styling for Web, we'll ask you upfront about your font budget so we can curate options accordingly. You'll have a choice between entirely free fonts – from Google Fonts or other free foundries – or paid fonts from independent type foundries, which often offer a greater range of character and distinction. Once your typography system is confirmed, you'll need to purchase the relevant licences directly before we apply the fonts to your site. This ensures the licences are held in your name and remain yours long after the project ends.

➔ Yes. While this service is designed with web in mind (screen-optimised colours, web-ready font formats, HEX codes rather than CMYK), your mini brand styling guide is yours to use as a reference across your business. Many clients find it becomes the quiet foundation for a fuller brand identity over time.
